These patches are made from TPU and designed to bond with TPU tube material specifically, so they're not intended for standard butyl tubes — for a butyl tube, a conventional vulcanising or glue-based rubber patch kit remains the right choice. If you're running any of Cyclami's road, gravel or MTB TPU tubes, this kit is the correct match.

Once pressed on and given 20 to 30 seconds to bond, the patch flexes along with the TPU tube material, so it holds up to normal riding rather than being a temporary fix. It's still sensible to treat it as a durable repair rather than a permanent replacement, and to keep an eye on the patched area over the following few rides.

Each kit includes 8 patches and 8 alcohol pads, enough for eight separate puncture repairs, which is plenty to keep in your saddle bag across many rides before you need a refill. It's compact enough that carrying the whole kit costs you almost no extra space.

No — the patches are glueless and simply peel and stick once the puncture area is wiped clean with the included alcohol pad, so there's no adhesive to carry, spill or let cure. Press the patch down firmly for 20 to 30 seconds and you're ready to re-inflate and ride.

TPU is a different material to the rubber butyl tubes are made from, and ordinary rubber patches simply don't form a lasting bond with it — they'll lift off again within a few kilometres of riding. Cyclami's kit uses TPU patches so the repair material matches the tube material, giving you a seal that flexes and holds the same way the tube itself does.
